Biography:

Steve Skiff, Head Coach Girls Basketball Team 

• Coach Skiff will begin his 8^th year as Head Coach of the Montrose Red Hawks Girls Basketball Program.  Coach Skiff has compiled a 94 – 68 record including the SWL League Championship during the 2018-2019 season and seven appearances in the CHSAA post season tournament.  Coach Skiff is a graduate of Montrose High School, and currently teaches PE at Columbine Middle School.  He is also the Head Coach for Boys Golf at MHS.

Steve Skiff, Head Coach Montrose Boys Golf Team

• Skiff is beginning his fourth season as the Head Coach of the Montrose Boys Golf Team. 
• Has coached 3 straight Regional Championships, and teams that finished 3^rd, 8^th, and 3^rd in the past three CHSAA State Championships.
• Skiff has coached one CHSAA State Individual Champion (Jordan Jennings -2020), and one Individual Regional Champion (Jake Legg – 2022)
• Skiff played high school golf at Montrose and college golf at Adams State College in Alamosa. Currently he is a teacher at Columbine Middle School

Alex Matlock, Assistant Coach

• Coach Matlock will begin his 1^st season as an Assistant Coach of the Montrose Red Hawks Girls Basketball Program.  Coach Matlock brings several years of basketball experience to the program.  Coach Matlock currently is a Social Studies teacher at Montrose High School and an Assistant Coach for the MHS Football Program.
